The greed of man is the major cause of mankind's major sufferings.

Yet the curse of 'Dowry' continues nowhere in the World but in our Country 'Bharat'.

Deen Dayal came to the house of Dharam Das to marry later's sister. Just as the ceremony was about to be per-formed Deen Dayal and his father stilled and shocked Dharamdas, his father and bride-to-be by demanding a dowry beyond their capacity. Bride's brother and father pleaded implored and begged to no avail. Deen Dayal - with his father walked away without marrying the poor girl.

The result was a grave tragedy.

The bride-to-be committed suicide and her father died of the shock. The brother Dharamdas stared blank. The curse of dowry had taken two innocent lives.

Time marched on….

Twenty seven years passed. Justice of God stepped in.

Now Deen Dayal had a grown up daughter- Gulab and Dharamdas had a son - Kamal. Gulab and Kamal studied in the same college and fell in love-head over-heels with each other, unaware of their parents' history.

Dharamdas is now a rich man and Deen Dayal comparatively poor. Deen Dayal consented to their marriage un-awaringly. When the fathers met, Dharamdas exploded like a volcano. But his son showed signs of revolt, so he affirmed with a scheme in mind. Gulab and Kamal were married. On the nuptial night the devilish plan of Dharamdas went into play, and the lovers were seperated. The very next morning Dharamdas took Gulab to her father's house and told the bewildered father that his daughter would be accepted in his house until Deen Dayal paid a dowry of astronomical sum. Deen Dayal was stunned. He pleaded implored and begged but all in vain.
